I Hit Up the Barre

So a couple of my coworkers have been bugging me to go try out their Pure Barre class. So today, I finally gave in and we went to the one in Irvine by my work…

I tend to be a creature of habit, so I was kinda hesitant, but I have been needing to incorporate some cross training into my training, so I decided to take them up on the “free trial” class. Plus, I love anything related to ballet. I was very aware that this was NOT a ballet class, but that it incorporated some of the exercises from it. I have always loved the elegance and movement of ballet, and been a huge fan of dance, so there was that appeal. I am not a trained dancer or anything, but I am Cyd Charisse in my dreams 🙂

And after trying it out, I can confirm that it definitely WASN’T a dance class, but it did incorporate some of its ELEMENTS! Click below if you want a more educated description than I could give you.

But in a nutshell, you are burning fat quickly, working out your arms, abs, and doing some major toe pointing, LOL! Some of it was SO HARD, and I am not going to lie…all the “tucking” you have to do is, uh…well…quite interesting…but overall I really enjoyed it, especially all the stretching, and they played some good music too! I think it will be a great lead in for me to go back to yoga.

I am expecting my thighs and arms to be burning tomorrow, but I had a lot of fun and would definitely recommend it!
